Becoming a registered VA medical marijuana patient is easy. It just takes a few simple steps. First, you'll need to create an account with us, then chat with your practitioner. Once they approve you and you've received your certification via email, you may head to a dispensary near you with the printed certification and valid State ID.
How to Become a Patient Caregiver in VA
A Virginia caregiver must be designated by the state-registered patient as an assistant to be considered for approval. Once named, the caregiver must prove they are a resident of Virginia with a valid driver’s license or state identification card.
If the caregiver is applying to help a minor, they must include a copy of the patient’s birth certificate as part of their application. As a caregiver, you can only be registered to help two patients at a time. You will be charged a registration fee of $25 when applying as a parent or legal guardian to a minor.
Once approved, the caregiver will be allowed to purchase medicinal cannabis for the patient.
